Additional Restrictions Grant 4

Businesses liable for Business Rates who have been severely affected by Covid restrictions and have not received previous LRSG-Closed and / or a Restart Grant (ARG-4)

Only complete this form if your business meets the criteria detailed below:

  • The business must be actively trading and liable for Business Rates within the Tamworth Borough on 01/04/2021, and
  • The business is not eligible for a Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) Closed and / or Restart Grant; and
  • The business has not received a Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) Closed and / or Restart Grant; and
  • The business has been severely affected by Covid restrictions; (must be able to evidence a minimum 30% reduction in turnover compared to pre Covid restrictions); and
  • The business has adhered to and implemented all of the restrictions required in response to Covid; and
  • The business must not be in administration, insolvent or where a striking-off notice has been given. , and
  • By accepting this grant, you must not exceed the covid-19 subsidy limits? (View further information on subsidy limits.)

Priority will be given to businesses which supply to the retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors, or businesses in the events sector.

Eligible businesses must be able to evidence how the local and national restrictions and the pandemic have impacted upon their income and business operation, businesses will be required to evidence a minimum 30% turnover loss.

When assessing your application the Council may contact you for further evidence if required.

Evidence 1 - You must submit evidence showing the impact on your business turnover; how the local and national restrictions & the pandemic have impacted upon your income and business operation,evidence must show a minimum 30% reduction in turnover and provide a comparison for a minimum of 2 months to evidence the decline, such as; bank statements showing sales decline, financial accounts showing decline in revenue / sales between none lockdown / restrictions and lockdown / restrictions months …. This must be emailed to covid-grants@tamworth.gov.uk and ensure your business name is quoted on your email for your application to be considered.

You answered NO please email your bank account name, bank account number and sort code in which a payment should be made if your application is successful to covid-grants@tamworth.gov.uk and ensure your business name is quoted on your email.

Declaration

In completing this declaration, I acknowledge:

  1. A new domestic subsidy allowance for COVID-19 business support grants took effect on 4 March 2021. The scheme is covered by three subsidy allowances (view further information on subsidy limits.) Grants under these 3 allowances can be combined for a potential total allowance of up to £10,935,000 (subject to exchange rates). It is your responsibility to ensure you do not exceed the threshold. If you feel obtaining this grant will take you above the subsidy allowance limit you should not complete this form. If you have received grants that take you above the subsidy allowance level you should return the payment, otherwise this may be clawed back at a future date.
  2. I meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the Additional Restrictions Grant.
  3. Tamworth Borough Council reserves the right to verify any claim or associated expenditure by checking with third party organisations including but not limited to banks, credit reference agencies, information held by the local authority and other local authorities
  4. The information you give us is used and held in accordance with the Local Government Finance Act 1988, and the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. Requests made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 may ask for general information regarding limited companies and PLCs which we will supply as they are not covered by the Data Protection Act.  
  5. We have a duty to protect public funds and we may use business rates data in cross system and cross comparison checks to ensure our records are correct. We may also disclose relevant information to other council and government departments where it is necessary and lawful to do so. We may also share information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds.  
  6. Tamworth Borough Council reserves the right to recover any grant payment where the data provided is later found to be fraudulent or incorrect. 
  7. The payee bank account details provided are the official business account details for the business and I confirm I am consenting to Tamworth Borough Council contacting the above bank to verify the bank account is that of the above business.
  8. Partial completion of this form will result in the application not being processed and I have provided with my application evidence to support my application as required, I understand if I have failed to submit evidence as required my application will not be considered.
  9. Completion of this form does not guarantee a grant and is subject to final approval against current government eligibility criteria and anti-fraud checks and I understand Tamworth Borough Council will make the final decision as to the payment of any grant.
