The ballots for the Local Election were counted on Thursday 5 May and the ballots for the Police and Crime Commissioner were counted on Friday 6 May.

Tamworth Borough Council is now made up of 20 Conservative councillors, 7 Labour councillors and 3 UK Independence Party (UKIP) councillors.

Last day for applications to be included on the register of electors in order to vote in the elections.	18 April 2016

Last day for new applications to vote by proxy (except for medical emergencies)	5:00pm on 26 April 2016
Last day for new applications to vote by proxy on grounds of medical emergency or by reason of employment	5:00pm on 5 May 2016
