Elections due to be held on Thursday 7 May 2020

The Government announced on Friday 13 March 2020 that the Local and Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner elections that were due to take place on Thursday 7 May 2020 will be postponed until May 2021.  Please see our Elections 2021 page for further details.

The Government have advised that the decision was taken following advice from the Government’s medical experts in relation to the response to the Covid-19 virus and the advice of those delivering elections.
