Homelessness Advice 
Please contact us if you believe you are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Office opening hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.45am - 5.10pm. Wednesday 10am - 5.10pm and Friday 8.45am - 5.05pm. 

Homeless in an emergency
If you are homeless and the council offices are closed, then you can contact the homelessness out of hours service on 01827 709709 and choose option 1. You should only use this service if you have nowhere to stay immediately. When you phone the officer will ask some questions and depending on your circumstances, may offer you accommodation. This could be outside of Tamworth. You will then be expected to attend the offices on the next working day for an assessment of your situation and to receive housing advice. 

Housing Advice 
Our Housing Solutions Advisor team are based in Marmion House. The team can help with all manners of telephone enquiries about our services however we are available in reception for a booked appointment. Our advisors will be available for booked appointments at the following times: Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9.00am - 1.00pm, Wednesday and Thursday 1.00pm - 5.00pm

The Council’s allocations policy can be found here and set out our scheme for allocating social housing. The council has a Tell Us policy so everyone can be clear about how to compliment comment and complain about services and what will happen to those comments once they are received.
