Petitions

e-petitions

An e-petition collects signatures online which allows petitions and supporting information to be made available to a much wider audience than a traditional paper-based version. Anyone who lives, works or studies in the area can submit or sign an e-petition.

E-petitions are part of our on-going commitment to listening to and acting on the views of the public. Petitions which contain more than 1,000 signatures will be debated by Full Council.

To support an existing e-petition choose the relevant one and add your name, address and email address. To find out more about the issue, see the supporting information which is attached to it.

Submitting an e-Petition

An e-petition can relate to any issue on which the Council has powers or duties, or where it has shared delivery responsibilities through a Local Area Agreement or other partnership arrangement.
