Free Easter trail, crafts and games

Tamworth Borough Council are inviting families to an Easter Extravaganza which includes an egg trail with giant Easter eggs hidden across the Castle Grounds and a petting farm this Easter half-term.

The event takes place on Easter Saturday 30 March, between 11am-3pm, with activities including:

  • An Easter trail 
  • Egg and spoon races 
  • Arts and crafts
  • Petting farm

Plus there will be lots of prizes to be won!

Families are invited to join the Easter trail to find eight giant eggs and bunnies and hidden around in the Castle Grounds. Find all eight Easter characters and their letter clues to win a prize.

Why not also join a traditional family egg and spoon race and see who will be the eggxtraordinary winners!

Throughout the event craft activities for children of all ages will be available, plus keep an eye open for a live-size Easter bunny character and a petting farm on site all day; get ready to take an eggcellent selfie!

The Mobile Petting Farm will be bringing along their animals including: 

•    A miniature donkey

•    A Shetland pony

•    Bora goats

•    Chicks

•    Ducks 

•    Small fluffy rabbits

•    Giant rabbit

•    Guinea pigs

Timetable for the Easter Extravaganza Day:

11.00am – Crafts and trail begins, plus petting farm

11.30am – Egg and Spoon race 1

12.30pm - Egg and Spoon race 2

1.30pm – Egg and Spoon race 3

2.30pm – Egg and Spoon race 4 

3.00pm - Finish
