What are our current emissions?
In 2023 the council emitted 1769 tonnes of carbon from our own operations. Below is a breakdown of our emissions, grouped by sector:

Our carbon reporting solely covers Tamworth Borough Council’s operations and estate – it does not include our housing Stock, except for communal areas in these buildings. Find out more about the work we’re doing to embed climate change into our asset management here.
Our emissions will be calculated annually and progress to net zero reviewed to identify where we can reduce emissions further.
