Tamworth Borough Council are thrilled to announce that Tamworth Castle made history on Friday evening, as over 120,000 people tuned in to witness its first-ever LIVE streamed paranormal investigation.

The event, hosted by Ghost Trip Investigations (GTI) and streamed directly to their TikTok audience, saw an unbelievable 3.4 million likes, as viewers watched in excitement as the eerie activity unfolded inside the castle’s ancient walls.

The collaboration with Tamworth Borough Council and the renowned GTI team, was led by dynamic influencers Adam Oakley and Dan Spragg, who, with their substantial following on TikTok, engage their audiences through explorations of haunted locations across the world. Their unique approach combines historical research with modern investigative techniques and explore the mysteries of the paranormal through live-streamed paranormal investigation.

During the live stream, Adam and Dan delved into the rich history and reported hauntings of Tamworth Castle through real-time exploration and interactive participation with their followers.

The event marks a significant milestone for Tamworth Castle, bringing the historic past to a global audience through the lens of paranormal investigation. This popular live streaming did not disappoint its audience, with many jaw-dropping moments taking place and eerie happening within the castle rooms.

Adam and Dan started the investigation with a chilling moment when Adam let out a terrifying scream when he heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps running directly toward him, despite being completely alone at the time. The panic in his voice was so real that Dan came running from another room to check on him. Viewers were gripped as the duo tried to make sense of what had just happened.

Later another gripping moment occurred when Adam rolled a ball down a corridor on the top floor, only for it to be rolled back by an unseen force. The scary interaction sent chills through the livestream, with thousands of viewers reacting in real time as they watched the event unfold.

Alongside these standout moments, the team also experienced strange noises, whispers, and shadowy figures, making it a night packed with unexplainable activity.

Tamworth Castle has long been home to ghostly legends, from the black lady, believed to be the spirit of a 9th-century nun, to the white lady, a sorrowful figure said to roam the castle searching for her lost love. Friday night’s live investigation only deepened the mystery, sparking fresh conversations about the supernatural history of the castle.

Before the big investigation, GTI’s Adam Oakley and Dan Spragg spent the day getting to know Tamworth and headed to a local pub for a meet and greet, where over 100 fans turned up to meet the duo, take photos, and talk all things paranormal.

Councillor Lewis Smith, portfolio holder for people services, engagement and leisure for Tamworth Borough Council, said: "We’ve always known Tamworth Castle has an incredible history, and the ghost stories have fascinated people for generations. It was incredible to see over 120,000 people from all over the world tuning in live and engaging with the investigation.
