We operate a number of sports pitches in Tamworth which are available to hire for clubs and teams of all ages. The largest facility is based at Anker Valley, Amington, where there are 13 pitches.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CHANGING ROOM FACILITIES AVAILABLE FOR THE 2026/27 SEASON. WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
You can apply by reading the conditions of hire and filling out the relevant application form below.
Forms should be returned either by post to: Sports Pitch Caretaker, Active Wellbeing, Tamworth Borough Council, Marmion House, Lichfield Street, Tamworth, B79 7BZ, or via email to: sportspitches@tamworth.gov.uk.
A condition of application and hire is that all teams accept the terms and conditions and code of conduct.
Sports pitch fees and charges 2026/27 season
Season pitch applications require a £50 non-refundable deposit – this fee will be deducted from the season pitch hire fees.

The 3G pitches available at both Lift Tamworth (Belgrave) and Anker Valley are top of the range facilities providing valuable space for the borough's many football teams.
The 3G pitches are available to hire during the following times:
Lift Tamworth
- Monday to Friday, 5pm-10pm
- Weekends, 9am-9pm
- Further times will be available during school holidays
