Council gender pay gap closes to 0.8%

Tamworth Borough Council is committed to closing the gender pay gap and have released their eighth annual report reporting a continuous decline in the pay gap since publishing its gender pay gap since 2018 (data from 2017).

Equality, diversity and inclusion strategy announced

Tamworth Borough Council has announced a new equality, diversity and inclusion strategy for 2025-2028, which seeks to make sure council services recognise the individual and their needs, with a main focus on community cohesion and the importance of social inclusion.

Application to vary injunction against Chambers approved

Dean Chambers, a Tamworth resident sentenced in August 2024 to a custodial sentence of 12 months for breaching an injunction and exclusion order on multiple occasions, has been given an extended injunction and exclusion order, after a judge heard new submissions.
