Like all councils we have a big job to do, so we need to make sure we have the right people to help us deliver the best possible services for the people of Tamworth.
Recruitment will therefore always be based on individual abilities and merit, assessed against the relevant criteria for the job. Our recruitment process is carried out fairly and free from bias or discrimination.
If you’d like to join the team, you can view all our current vacancies here.
Support for those with disabilities
As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we will always offer interviews to people with disabilities who meet the minimum criteria for the role, and make reasonable adjustments for interview.
Armed Forces Covenant
We support the Armed Forces Covenant, and received a silver award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme in national recognition of our commitment to the armed forces. As part of this, we will guarantee an interview to any applicant who is either currently serving in the armed forces, the reserves, or is a veteran, and meets the minimum criteria for the role. The same applies to military spouses and partners, and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
Criminal convictions
We don’t discriminate unfairly against people who have had criminal convictions in the past.
