  • Residents can speak directly with cabinet members and ward councillors about local issues and priorities
  • Feedback will help shape future council services and budget decisions

Tamworth Borough Council is launching a series of community drop-in events across the borough throughout September as part of their 'Let's Talk Tamworth' initiative. This opportunity offers residents the chance to speak directly with cabinet members and ward councillors about life and issues affecting people in Tamworth.

Six drop-in sessions are being held across the borough, giving residents from all areas of Tamworth the opportunity to share views, raise concerns, and offer ideas for improvement. The feedback gathered will help shape the future of local services and set priorities for the year ahead.

The sessions are designed to be open, inclusive and community-focused, allowing residents to engage with their elected representatives in an informal setting. Cabinet members and ward councillors will be on hand to listen to concerns, discuss local issues, and explain how council decisions are made.

Residents can attend any of the drop-in sessions regardless of which ward they live in. The events are part of the annual ‘State of Tamworth debate’, which provides a vital opportunity for the council to review its work over the past year and incorporate community feedback into future planning.

The council is also running its budget consultation alongside these events, giving residents the chance to have their say on how council funds should be spent. Information about the budget consultation will be available at all drop-in sessions, and residents can also participate through an online survey.

Councillor Carol Dean, Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: "We really want people to come along to these drop-in sessions to talk to us. This is your chance to tell us what matters to you about living in Tamworth, what's working well, and what you think needs to change. Your views will directly influence our priorities and how we spend council tax. Please don't miss this opportunity to make your voice heard – we genuinely want to listen."

“Your community, your voice, your chance to shape Tamworth's future. We look forward to meeting you.”

Why attend?

  • Have your say on local services, council spending, and Tamworth’s priorities for the year ahead.
  • See democracy in action as councillors listen to community feedback and explain how decisions are made.
  • Make your voice count during challenging financial times – your feedback helps shape Tamworth’s future.
