Tamworth Borough Council and partners Digital Islands Business Services Ltd, are inviting all local businesses to a free’ Netwalking’ event on Monday 4 November.
Join Tamworth Borough Council’s future high street regeneration team and explore the remarkable progress made since last year’s netwalk event. Witness the transformation firsthand, discover new opportunities, and connect with like-minded professionals who share a passion for Tamworth’s vibrant business landscape.
Attendees should meet at 9am at Christophers restaurant for coffee and introductions; then proceed with a tour covering the major regeneration developments currently undertaken through the government funded Future High Street Fund project.
The event will see local businesses come together and explore the future landscape of Tamworth town centre. Regeneration Project Officer, Alice Poulton will give insight to each of the key development areas, bringing the regeneration plans to life through an interactive and engaging tour.
The tour will cover the following areas:
- The new Tamworth Enterprise Centre in the original 19th century former Co-op building on Colehill. This is a second enterprise centre in the town centre, increasing office space for local businesses.
- St Editha’s Square redevelopments.
- New college development on St Editha’s Square. (Project led by South Staffordshire College).
- Middle Entry renovations and new flex space for new businesses.
- The new Market Street building now completed for Nationwide Building Society’s relocation.
- Market Street properties and castle bridge, to restore and refurbish the historic vacant properties on Market Street and creating a wider footbridge into the castle grounds.
