Call for Sites

As part of our evidence base for the new Tamworth Local Plan 2022-2043, we are currently undertaking a 'Call for Sites'.

The Call for Sites is a process we carry out on a regular basis. It is an opportunity for landowners, agents and developers to put forward sites for potential future development. The information we collect through the Call for Sites will help us to prepare a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment and Brownfield Land Register, as well as identify potential sites for other uses, such as employment land.

How to respond
If you are the owner, or represent the owner, of any land within the borough that could be considered for development to meet Tamworth’s needs up to 2042, we’d like to hear from you. If you are unsure whether your site is within the borough boundary, you can view a map of the borough boundary here.

If you are unsure whether your site is within the borough boundary, you can view a map of the borough boundary here. Please note, any land outside of the borough boundary, even if it is directly adjacent, will not be considered.

Please complete the submission form and send it, with a plan that clearly shows the location and boundaries of the site, to: developmentplan@tamworth.gov.uk or by post to Planning Policy and Delivery Team, Tamworth Borough Council, Marmion House, Lichfield Street, Tamworth, B79 7BZ.

If you are submitting more than one site, please complete a separate form for each site.

The deadline for sites to be submitted for the current call for sites is: Sunday 11 August 2024

Previously submitted sites
This Call for Sites is an update to the 2018 exercise, so even if you have previously submitted details of a site to us, please could you confirm that you are happy for your site to still be included and let us know of any changes since your last contact. This will allow us to have the most accurate and up-to-date information available to assess, for each site.
