Is the council transitioning their vehicle fleet to electric?
- As detailed in our performance report, we have procured 6 electric vehicles for our internal fleet at the depot and will continue to transition others when financially possible within each procurement cycle.
Has the council set up or supported a shared transport scheme that can be used across their whole area?
- We support the enterprise car club which offers quick and easy car rental within Tamworth, hourly or daily.
Has the council supported the expansion of a public network of electric vehicle chargers?
- We are part of the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Programme, (LEVI) lead by Staffordshire County Council, through which we will be installing electric vehicle charge points in selected car parks across the borough. Our electric vehicle strategy (2024) sets out the proposal in more detail.
